Lunch & Learn - Carving His Own Destiny: The Life and Legacy of Albin Polasek
Friday, July 7, noon

This program is being offered both in-person and virtually. If you plan to attend virtually, select the "Adult" ticket option that does not include lunch. The access link to join the program virtually will be included in your email confirmation following the completion of your order.

Born in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm, Moravia (now the Czech Republic), Albin Polasek made his way to the United States in 1901. He dedicated himself to art, winning the coveted Prix de Rome fellowship at the American Academy in Rome, was named the head of the sculpture department at the School at the Art Institute of Chicago, retiring to Winter Park, Florida, and starting the Albin Polasek Foundation. Throughout his life, Polasek became a world-renowned and sought-after sculptor. Polasek's legacy lives on today through the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens. Join Emily Coughlan for her lunch and hear about this extraordinary artist.

As of 9am on Thursday, July 6th we are no longer accepting lunch orders. You can still register to attend in-person without lunch or to attend virtually. You are welcome to bring a lunch with you.
