Lunch & Learn - Rebel Rousers: The History of Softball in Central Florida
Friday, July 10, noon

From recreational play to the collegiate level to the Olympics and the pros, softball is predominantly a women’s sport that continues to grow in influence. Softball has evolved since its first recorded game in 1887, with the sport not having a presence in Central Florida until the 1920s. Fast-forward to today and the region is a mecca for softball. Rebel Rousers: The History of Softball in Central Florida looks at the history of the sport in the region and highlights local influences such as the Orlando Rebels, Dot Richardson, and the development of vast softball complexes.

This program is being offered both in-person and virtually. If you plan to attend virtually, select the "Adult" ticket option that does not include lunch. The access link to join the program virtually will be included in your email confirmation following the completion of your order.
