Lunch & Learn- Latinx Arts in Central Florida: Inclusion and Visibility

In this Lunch & Learn, we will explore the role of Latinx artists in the contemporary arts scene in Central Florida. We will explore how the migration experience influences the works of these artists, the ways in which they are included in news media in our mainstream newspapers and news channels, and how social media offers a new space of communication for artists from minority groups in Central Florida. We will also explore the ways in which the History Center is working to diversify our collection and offer a path forward toward inclusion in Central Florida's artistic community.
