Lunch & Learn: The Legacy of Voter Suppression
Friday, August 6, noon

The right to vote is one of the most sacred and important rights we have as citizens of this country. However, voter-suppression laws and tactics have long made it difficult for all citizens to participate equally in our democracy. Join the History Center, along with members of the League of Women Voters of Orange County, the Alianza for Progress, the Council on American-Islamic Relations Florida, and When We All Vote, as we discuss the historic roots of voter-suppression tactics, what modern-day voter suppression looks like, and how you can get involved to help make voting easier and more accessible for all.
